Bowling Green, Ohio — A fatal crash at a rural Wood County intersection Saturday afternoon remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The collision happened just before 5 p.m. on April 4 at the intersection of Five Point Road and Lime City Road.
According to investigators, a 2018 Ford driven by Brooke Tabbert, 30, of Oak Harbor, was traveling eastbound on Five Point Road when it entered the intersection and was struck by a southbound 2016 Ford SUV operated by Clemente Vallestero, 29, of Perrysburg.
Both vehicles were forced off the roadway and crashed into a utility pole at the southeast corner of the intersection.
Tabbert was transported from the scene by Perrysburg EMS to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
An infant passenger in her vehicle was also taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. Vallestero sustained minor injuries and did not require transport.
Perrysburg Township police and fire crews responded to the scene, along with local towing services.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
